Citiblox are a series of modular pavers can be replaced in a matter of minutes, allowing for a more adaptable street infrastructure and a space for urban experimentation.
Citiblox provides a platform for urban applications to collect data on the social and environmental characteristics of the local urban environment, presenting governments with an opportunity to adopt a powerful and cost-effective form of street infrastructure. These digital solutions can:

We build modular pavers that are retrofitted on top of the current road surface, and can be plugged in and out of the street in a matter of minutes, allowing for a more adaptable street infrastructure and low cost repair and maintenance.
LEDs can be activated when a street is being used to indicate different functions, and can be programmed to change colour depending on the environment.
We embed haptic lighting and sensors to collect data on the social and environmental characteristics of the local urban environment. To run these circuits, we generate energy from people’s footsteps!
